iRO - Ragexe.has stopped working Problem [Fixed]


have you ever experience this kind of problem in iRO latest client (2/24/2015)?? where after you run the first patch, it allows you to connect to the game for a brief of time & when you close the window & tries to re-open it prompt you that the client has stopped working?

i've searched various related topics regarding this, but there is not a single useful stuff came up. not even the forum could help or tickets from the game masters themselves. i find it out myself.


1. after fully installing the game i run the patcher / launcher for iRO Renewal & wait for it to be fully patched.



2. it allows me to connect for the first time, but later when i close the window it suddenly stopped working. giving me error message like this.



3. Troubleshooting: this error is related to your anti-virus, in my case i use BitDefender. just open the anti-virus menu. > exclusions >



4. Make sure your exclusion for files is set to ON, click "Excluded files & folders" then search for the file path, & folders on where your file is located. you can either search for the folder itself or the individual file. and set both "On-Access" & "On-Demand" to yes.




5. now get back to Exclusions Tab & click on "Excluded Processes" click > add > & search for the .exe files in my case i play renewal so i search for Ragnarok.exe (Patcher / Launcher) & Ragexe.exe. it'l be the same if you do it on classic.




6. Now try to launch the Ragnarok.exe again, wait for patch to complete & Play.



as you can finally see, it fixes my problem. i'm not sure about the other anti-virus, but if you're familiar with it, you can try & tweak its exclusion settings. so it won't interfere with familiar processes you are trying to run on your system.
